Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

So..its about my newest OC,Kasumi,.of course,youre going to draw her~

Things to clarify:
 
A mage's abilities are:supernatural strength,able to cast magic spells,able to survive for a long period of time.
Her staff/rod appears when shes battling with someone.


CONTEST RULES:
You have to draw Kasumi.
You can draw her with her likes and dislikes,her casting spells or just her alone.
Do not draw her with your OC or my other OC's,they dont know each other.
Do not draw her as an animal and pony.

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

Conventions, Costumes, and Craziness!

It's getting to be that time of year again, you guise!

Well, it's still far off, but I want to start preparing for the coming year :3

I'm curious to know from any other con-goes what some good cons are in California? I'm specifically looking for anime/video game conventions anywhere from 5k-20k in attendance.  I know of AX, SDCC, Fanime, Anime LA, AOD, and Sac Anime. Are there any others you would recommend?
I'm really interested in people's personal experiences and how much you liked attending any of the California cons.

If I can, I'm really looking to attend more conventions outside of the pacific northwest :] California would be easiest for me to get to (other than Oregon and Washington) but I'm curious all around the board so just tell me:

my con experience is somewhat limited, but I live in Atlanta and Dragon*Con is, from what I've heard from my more experienced costuming friends, a Pretty Big Deal. i've been 4 years in a row and i have to say it's my favorite part of the year. my friends and i dubbed it "Nerd Christmas" this year :-) we've actually started a group that's working on a themed cosplay for next year! this year had more attendees than i've ever seen, too. over 52,000 attendees o_O

i hope to go to more cons in the coming year too, hopefully some West Coast ones too!

Wow! That is outstanding! I know a handful of people who go to Dragon*Con and I have heard great things about it. I'd love to go some time! It sounds like a truly great convention!

I really hope to go to more conventions in the near future too. I'll have to work on expanding my convention goings for sure :)

I went AX this last year and had a blast. It was truly an amazing experience. You should also totally go to KuroNekoCon in Spokane, Washington which I'm on the staff for.
